Located down the Sakurajima volcano in Kagoshima City, the distillery owned by Hombo Mars, ceased distilling whisky since 1984. Converted for the production of shochu, today we can still find a few Kagoshima single malt, bottled at Shinshu distillery where the remaining stock are stored.
