Nishinomiya
The distillation of whisky in Nishinomiya ceased in 1999, when the “Coffey stills” were transferred to Miyagikyo. The site is now dedicated to the production of Asahi beer (Asahi owns Nikka). Nishinomiya was mainly distilling grain whiskies in order to compose most of the Nikka’s blends bestseller like the “From the Barrel”.
